Fleets need information in order to effectively manage their operations. Having accurate current data, or “the baseline”, enables a fleet to measure success from actions that are taken to reduce fuel use and cost, and emissions.

New technologies, such as GPS based systems, offer extensive data capture allowing for detailed information management including:
