Information Management PDF Print E-mail

Fleets need information in order to effectively manage their operations. Having accurate current data, or “the baseline”, enables a fleet to measure success from actions that are taken to reduce fuel use and cost, and emissions.

Information management systems can range from the very simple to the very sophisticated.

If your fleet doesn’t yet have a data baseline use our simple checklists to get started:

New technologies, such as GPS based systems, offer extensive data capture allowing for detailed information management including:

  • Vehicle location in real time
  • Speed, idling and engine RPM data
  • Fuel records, GHG emissions and MPG performance
  • Detailed maintenance and warranty records
  • Daily mileage records by driver
  • Audit trails

Fleets that have detailed data records would benefit from an E3 Fleet Review. This service will not only verify the data and provide baseline emissions calculations, but will also provide detailed recommendations on how to reduce costs, improve performance and make best use of fleet assets.
